Anger Management 101 (PDF)

Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.
~ Mark Twain.

Why is anger important? It offers us the opportunity to release from our bodies old suppressed feelings of victimhood, powerlessness and disease. Anger is personal. We are the ones responsible for our liberation. No one else can do it for us. Only we can use our anger as a catalyst for empowerment. When an individual is angry, it is always his or her anger, and his or her loaded (gun.) The individual decides what to do with that energy, whether to load the gun and shoot back, or whether to use his fist and fight back, or to use his voice to yell and bully, or to project the anger out to the other person or event – all of which are unhealthy ways to express anger. But, most importantly, all of us have the ability to use our anger as creative fuel to make the necessary changes within ourselves. By taking our power back, we are in a position to support each other and make the changes that our collective evolution on this planet is calling us to make. The way we can effect peace on the planet and support the people is to be the peace ourselves.

“You have the absolute ability to perceive and achieve world peace. Accepting it begins inside of you. When you have made peace with all that is out of harmony within, you will achieve inner peace. Make peace with the opposing forces that are at war within yourself.”

Choose Life, choose you.

It does not matter what our faith is, whether we are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hopi, or a light worker, All of us have emotion. Everything is energy and we all have the same tools. Be the one in your life that vibrates to the power of JOY.

Why anger is important?

Anger is personal it does not matter what faith we are, what color we are, weather we are male of female, Anger is our tool for personal liberation. When an individual is angry, it is always his or her anger, and his or her loaded (gun.) The individual decides what to do with that energy, whether to load the gun and shoot back, or whether to use his fist and fight back, or to use his voice to yell and bully, or to project the anger out onto the other person or event – all of which are unhealthy ways to express anger. So is suppression. To suppress the energy in our bodies causes dis- ease or illness. Many people have suppressed this emotion and are now fighting with cancer and other diseases. Anger is important. It is a loaded gun being directed by the person with thought, projection, feeling or action. I want to show what to do with it; not use it to destroy but use it as the creative fuel it is.

It’s part of our humanity. Healthy expression of anger occurs when the individual learns not to suppress anger but instead taps into his innate ability to deal with it by bringing it into the open. Our society and our conditioning has us buying into the belief that anger is bad and the only way to deal with it is to suppress it.The results of this have been devastating, causing many violent crimes against humanity. In his recent study of domestic violence in the NFL, Roger Groves, a Professor of Law at Florida Coastal School of Law, writes: “Anger is the root cause and common element of all these crimes against humanity, be it against a woman or child”. I agree with Professor Groves statement, but I disagree that the solution is to control anger. Anger needs to be expressed in a healthy way, not controlled. In a report on gun violence in the schools, Michael Snyder points at that in recent years, nearly every school shooter was on antidepressant drugs which can cause people to behave in extremely irrational ways. It’s time to take our organic nature back into our hands and teach one another how to process our emotions, how to express our anger constructively without drug dependency.
